[On his way in, Reverie will no doubt notice the overwhelming scent of burning. Nothing is actively on fire now, but in the darkened living room, there are scorched handprints on the table, a melted corner on Alfred's laptop, and a smoking trail where his tail had slid along the floor from the couch to the bathroom door.
There is no reply through the door - but with careful listening, stuttered, hoarse sobbing can be heard, interwoven with...humming?
