Seras stands her ground even as he moves towards her, paws raising to brace against his arms, not to keep distance but to keep contact. Even gripping him doesn't stop the trembling; she's terrified of what she's done to him, what this situation is doing to him.

"A-a lot, actually! I--" He closes in on her, leering down at her with that icy expression and those hungry eyes. He interrupts her, and her explanation catches in her throat. What was she supposed to do? Lie and say that wasn't true? That she wasn't actually overjoyed to see someone she hadn't seen in years?

She won't back down, and won't lie about it, even to cushion the impact. Keeping it from him is what got them here in the first place.
