[His smile turns wistful, failing to meet Alfred's eyes.]

Well you see... I've actually been away for awhile. It hasn't seem much any amount of time to you, but I... went back home.

[His grip on Alfred's hand tightens slightly.]

[His smile is gone by this point as he stares at nothing. Suddenly, he runs a hand through his hair.]
